Dr. Tara Lynn Teshima, MD MSc FRCSC
Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon
Dr. Tara Lynn Teshima is a Royal College board-certified plastic, reconstructive, and craniofacial surgeon based in Vancouver. At Whistler Medical Aesthetics, she sees patients one day per week, offering injectables, surgical consultations, skin cancer biopsies, mole removals, and treatment of minor lumps and bumps.

Dr. Teshima holds a Clinical Assistant Professor appointment and serves as MD Undergraduate Director in the Division of Plastic Surgery at UBC. Her training includes a Masters Degree in Virology, medical school and plastic surgery residency at the University of Alberta, and advanced fellowship training in adult craniofacial surgery at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the Odette Cancer Centre in Toronto.
That foundation gives her specialized expertise in cosmetic surgery of the face, including facelift, rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, and facial rejuvenation.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Teshima has contributed to medical education as invited faculty for Medskl, a global CME learning platform. She is also a volunteer surgeon on medical missions to Kyiv, Ukraine, providing complex surgical care to wounded soldiers — work featured in the W5 documentary "Healing Hands."

Dr. Teshima has a wonderful ability to understand exactly what you are hoping to achieve. My skin has never looked better and people keep asking what I have been doing differently.
I am passionate about helping people see their own beauty and then working with them to enhance their natural beauty. Nutrition, healthy food, and lifestyle have been my passions since high school. I find that the creativity that I use to make healthy, delicious food look beautiful also transfers to treating my patients- to help them magnify their health and beauty. Many characteristics of good healthy food such as freshness, symmetry, color, and texture, as well as the need for delicate and precise preparation and care also apply to our skin. It is my pleasure and privilege to work at Cosmedica with the goal of enhancing the lives of the people that I touch there.
