Laser Hair Removal

Triton is a multi-wavelength laser system that delivers three wavelengths simultaneously for permanent hair reduction across a broader range of hair types, skin tones, and follicle depths than single-wavelength lasers.

What Is Triton Laser Hair Removal, And How Does It Work?

Triton uses three simultaneous wavelengths, Alexandrite (755nm), Diode (810nm), and Nd:YAG (1064nm), each targeting melanin within hair follicles at a different depth and across a different range of hair and skin types. Delivering all three at once treats follicles across the full spectrum of variables in a single pass.

The light energy is absorbed by the hair follicle and converted to heat, damaging the follicle's ability to produce hair. Only follicles in the active growth phase respond, and since different follicles cycle through active growth at different times, multiple sessions are needed to catch them all. Most patients complete their primary series in six to eight sessions, spaced four to eight weeks apart depending on the body area; after the series, the majority of treated hair won't return, though occasional maintenance sessions may be needed for fine regrowth.

Is Triton Laser Hair Removal Worth It For You?

Triton tends to be the ideal fit for those with:

  • Dark hair, since more melanin means more effective energy absorption
  • Medium-to-darker skin tones, thanks to Triton's multi-wavelength approach
  • A goal of permanent hair reduction without downtime

Very light blonde, white, grey, or red hair has little melanin and doesn't respond well to any laser-based hair removal technology; this is a limitation of how laser hair removal works generally, not specific to Triton. Recent sun exposure, certain medications, and active skin conditions may affect timing and settings, and treatment parameters are calibrated individually to your skin type and hair characteristics. A consultation is the right starting point if you're unsure about candidacy.

Your Treatment Experience

Sessions are fast: smaller areas like the upper lip, underarms, or bikini line take five to fifteen minutes, while larger areas like full legs or the back take thirty to sixty minutes. An integrated cooling tip keeps the skin comfortable throughout, with most patients describing the sensation as a mild snap or warmth with each pulse.

There's no downtime. Skin may appear slightly pink immediately afterward, typically resolving within a few hours, and you can return to all normal activities the same day; sun exposure to treated areas should be avoided for 48 hours following each session. Hair in the treated area sheds over the two to three weeks following each session as follicles release the hair shaft, with the area appearing progressively clearer with each session in the series.

Yes. Triton's multi-wavelength approach extends effective, safe treatment to medium-to-darker skin tones that weren't well-served by earlier single-wavelength devices.

None. Skin may be slightly pink for a few hours afterward, but you can return to all normal activities the same day.

Yes, with appropriate precautions. Sun exposure to treated areas should be avoided for 48 hours following each session.

Yes, shaving is fine and often recommended between sessions. Avoid waxing or plucking, though, since these remove the hair follicle the laser needs to target.
