How Does It Work?
Sculptra contains microparticles of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible substance that the body gradually absorbs. Once injected, the particles act as a scaffold that activates fibroblasts — the cells responsible for collagen production. New collagen builds around the injection sites over weeks and months, restoring volume and improving skin structure from within.
Most patients require a series of two to three treatments spaced four to six weeks apart. Full results are typically visible three to six months after the final session and can last up to two years or beyond.
